Batman – DKR was poor in comparison to the prior two of the series.
Story was weak. I think the plot could have proceeded without the need for Catwoman. The actors in the Batman series always looked believable for their character.
Bale got buff, looks believable that he can handle himself in a fight without any Batman tech.
Tom Hardy got huge to portray a believable massive hulking Bane.
Anne Hathaway looks like she’d break a nail doing a pushup. She looks hot in the Catwoman outfit, but not like the character that is capable of acrobatics, hand-to-hand combat, etc. that is required of a person portraying such a comic character.
Jessica Biel or Jennifer Garner have got buff and looked completely believable as comic characters in their roles in Blade and Electra respectively.
Anne looked like she wrapped up another movie playing a girly girl or princess and slipped into the Catwoman suit. I had my doubts about the casting choice here and it was confirmed after seeing her performance.
They have provided some back story to Bane and the child that escaped the pit who ended up being the daughter of Ras Al Ghul but what was Catwoman’s back story? Bane takes over Gotham for 5 months only to be killed by Catwoman using a gun/cannon…Bruce did not need to escape the Pit, Catwoman could have killed Bane somewhere during his 5 month reign…
Seems like the producers, writers and director didn’t care to make the movie crisp since they knew it was the end of the trilogy. Show up, make something that will be a pop corn flick and move onto their respective next project.
Bruce must be Wolverine to recover from a broken back in 5 month while in a Pit and sleeping on the ground after some old guy gave him a half a$$ed spinal adjustment. What happened to that leg brace he need just to walk properly at the start of the movie? Seems like his leg healed in the Pit also..
Too many holes in this story, almost like the comic stories from 50 years ago when they were written for 7 year olds who wouldn’t question such things.
The supporting cast all gave excellent performances; Gary Oldman, Joseph Gordon Levitt, Morgan Freeman, Michael Kane.
